Webinar 3:
The Telecom Cloud: Critical Deployment Strategies

Learn about the evolution to the Telecom Cloud and how cloud technology and network virtualization will provide the biggest opportunities – and challenges – for operators over the next five years. Discuss how to make the best cloud technology decision for your network and the process for successfully deploying legacy infrastructure to the Telecom Cloud.

Operators are in agreement that the Telecom Cloud can bring benefits to their networks including increased flexibility and capex savings. A recent survey of global operators showed that every survey participant was committed to deploying cloud technology, with 60 percent of respondents planning deployments within the next 12 months. Despite this high level of commitment, operators are still unsure what type of cloud technology to deploy. The key to Telecom Cloud evolution is not only understanding how the different technologies can work together, but how they should be deployed.

This webinar will provide an informative discussion around the process of successfully deploying legacy infrastructure to the Telecom Cloud. It will take an in-depth look at the types of cloud technologies as well as which network functions are best suited for virtualization and workload consolidation. The presenters will share deployment strategies to ensure that the Telecom Cloud meets the high requirements of the telecom industry.

Topics covered:
  • Network function virtualization
  • Software-defined networking
  • Virtualization
