We are excited about our new MediaEngine™ Transcode Resource Function (TRF) product announced September 14. Our customers have indicated that traditional architectures to deliver network transcoding are not keeping up with the processing complexities being introduced by modern HD codec standards and algorithms. Radisys has responded with two optimized transcoding solutions, the MediaEngine TRF-12000 and vTRF, which deliver the real-time transcoding horsepower to support interactive HD audio and video service interoperability more efficiently, while delivering significant cost savings. Our solution also allows mobile operators to deploy transcoding as an adjunct function which scales independently and complements existing legacy network elements such as session border controllers (SBCs) and media gateways.
